Repurposed Tea Cups

Pin It Now!
A few years ago I received an aloe farm as a gift.  I am kidding.  I received one aloe plant that had sent up about 20 shoots over the past two years, but I totally love it.  It has made me come up with some unique planter ideas.
Here are a few examples:
Vintage Tea Cup Planters
My favorite is the tea kettle.  I found it at a thrift store.  It was missing the lid and I knew instantly what to use it for.
Use mugs that are broken or a tea kettle!

Terrariums and Outdoor Plants

Pin It Now!

I have been going terrarium crazy.  I have been trying to get as many done in the warm sun as possible because it's easier to clean up the mess that way.
Here's my latest:

I also spruced up my plants outside a bit.  I am really into the old shoe or boot planter.

Solid Gold Shoe Planter

Pin It Now!

I've always wanted to make a succulent planter out of old shoes.  I really wanted to make one as a birthday gift for my sister-in-law.  It turned out the universe answered my call and I found a pair of shoes way past their prime in a free box.

I thought what do these shoes need?  Gold spray paint, of course.  I sprayed them up and planted a few chicks and hens in the shoes and ta-da a solid gold birthday gift.
Enjoy~
