Hello!
If you live in the Portland, Oregon area, come to SCRAP on Saturday the 24th and check this out:
I sell my fused plastic wallets and fascinators as well as my trashy treasure magnets in the ReBoutique.  Plus there are quite a few amazing artisans that sell their wares as well.
Thank you for your support!

Necktie Fascinators

Pin It Now!

I have a new project that I absolutely love, necktie fascinators.  I love neckties and this is the perfect recreation.  I found this project when I was perusing OutsaPop's website.  She is a complete inspiration and I encourage anyone who likes to work with reused materials to check out this site:

Anyway, here are a couple of photos of the fascinators.  The fascinator in these photos was the first one so it was a bit of an experiment.  I like that it looks like a mini hat, but I have since figured out how to get it to lay flat as to be more flower like.

If you want, you can check out more photos at my Etsy store.

Enjoy~

Happy Valentine's Day!

Pin It Now!
A couple of weeks ago I hosted a Valentine card making or Love shrine making party for a handful of awesome crafty ladies.  The results were amazing and it was a lot of fun.  One of the ladies brought these amazing wooden display boxes that had glass in them and that was a huge hit.  I only have pictures of the one that I made and so here it is:

One of the many sweet things about hosting shrine making parties is that you get to use up a lot of materials that you have been saving for too long, not that the party made a dent in supplies :)

Here are a couple of photos of a love shrine I made from a previous party I hosted:

I made this shrine out of an eyeglasses case that I found at SCRAP.  The problem was that it wouldn't stand up.  So we came up with this stand idea.  The shrine then became two-sided and I loved that.  The photo in the center is a goof up at one of those photo booths.  It's a beautiful picture of the torsos of myself and my sweetie.

Anyway, I hope everyone has a wonderful Valentines' Day!

Vintage Pixie Hat

Pin It Now!

So my friend asked if I would knit a hat for her niece's 1st birthday.  The hat intrigued me and I hadn't knitted anything in a while so I said yes.
This hat is totally adorable.  Here is a photo with the recipient wearing the finished product.
So adorable.  I think I might try to knit an adult sized one after I finish all my other projects, of course.
If you are interested in knitting one of these for a baby you know, I have included the link of the pattern that I used with another photo from the pattern.
